2018 SIMULATED NCAA TOURNAMENT BRACKET 10.15.2018

Here is this week's simulated NCAA Tournament bracket based on the actual results of games played through Sunday, October 14, the simulated results of games not yet played (including conference tournament games), and the Women's Soccer Committee's decision patterns over the last 11 years.  In some cases, the simulation is ambivalent.  For example, it may indicate that a team meets historic patterns for getting a #1 seed and simultaneously meets historic patterns for not getting a #1 seed.  In those cases, I compare how the teams relate to the patterns and select those teams that look most likely to get a #1 seed based on the patterns.

1 = #1 seed
2 = #2 seed
3 = #3 seed
4 = #4 seed
5 = unseeded Automatic Qualifier
6 = at large selection
7 = Top 60 team not getting an at large selection
8 = Top 60+ team not eligible for at large selection due to record below 0.500
9 = Top 80 team that might compete for an at large selection if in the Top 60
