TEAM AND CONFERENCE SCHEDULING RESOURCES, ONE UPDATED AND ONE NEW

I have one updated and one new resource that coaches can use for future non-conference scheduling.  These are expecially for coaches and conferences with high NCAA Tournament at large selection or seeding aspirations.

The updated resource is the Team Histories and Simulated 2019 Ranks excel workbook that provides tools for evaluating teams as possible future non-conference opponents.  It allows a coach to identify those teams that will meet certain criteria the coach has for a future opponent, such as that the coach's team have a 60% chance of beating the team or that the team be likely to be in the 30 to 50 ARPI ranking range.  And, it will allow a coach to see which of the potential opponents will be best to play from an RPI perspective.  Among other things, the User Guide (first page) for the workbook is improved, with detailed instructions on how to use the workbook to select "good" opponents from an RPI perspective.

The new resource is the 2019 Conference Scheduling Resource.  This excel workbook provides detailed information about conferences' histories and trends in terms of their NCAA Tournament at large selections and seeds, their ARPI ratings, and their scheduling practices.  This workbook is particularly for conferences whose coaches want to work together to improve their teams' ARPI ranks and thus their NCAA Tournament prospects.

You can find these resources at the NCAA Tournament: Scheduling Towards the Tournament page of the RPI for Division I Women's Soccer website.  The are the two attachments at the bottom of that page.  Rather than trying to open them on-line, it will be best if you download the excel workbooks and then use them.

Each workbook's first page is a User Guide.  I strongly recommend you review the User Guide before using the workbook, as that will make your use much easier.
